Leaving no stone unturned in acquiring the most exciting pieces for our collection

The Global Situation

A Flourishing Marketplace

The global art and antique market is booming, with auction turnover up 18% (totalling $8.45bn) in 2018 from the previous year. The US enjoyed a massive 48% rise, with the UK seeing a 19% increase (artprice.com). In addition to this, the scene is thriving at a grass-roots level; you only have to switch on your TV to see an endless stream of Antiques Roadshow spin-offs! The UK alone hosted well over 300 fairs and auctions nationwide during 2019, and you can expect to see Rosewin Holdings at The NEC Art and Antiques for Everyone Fair and the Mayfair Antiques and Fine Art Fair amongst others.

Enhancing Our Collection

At Rosewin, our passion is collecting exciting assets with the potential for healthy returns. We work closely with our network of experts and affiliates to assist us in making the right choices, and confirming provenance and condition of pieces prior to purchase. In our bid to build the greatest collection in the world, we will consider anything on our shopping list, from contemporary masterpieces, property, and whisky to pocket watches, comic books, and classic cars. Simply nothing is off our radar!

Building Partnerships

In order to secure a vibrant and wide-ranging portfolio, we have built solid partnerships with some of the world’s premier auction houses. However, because we love the thrill of the chase, we also frequently attend smaller fairs and auctions all over the UK and elsewhere, and closely monitor online auction sites.

Exit Strategy

Selling Rosewin Assets

When the time is right, our assets are sold in order to ensure optimum gains for our company and its shareholders. This is achieved through collaboration with a variety of well-established auction houses including those above as well as online auctions such as catawiki and those frequently found on the-saleroom.com.

Of course, our team also loves frequenting the plethora of antiques fairs around the UK and elsewhere. Below are some items from Daniel’s personal collection that he sold leading up to the launch of Rosewin Holdings. As you can see, we enjoy dealing in pieces with high interest value and not just big-ticket items!

19th Century Tea Set

This delightful mid-nineteenth century ceramic and silver tea set, with ‘Pall Mall’ stamp, was sold to a Chinese collector at the Ardingly International Antiques and Collectors Fair, 2017.

Plate Transfer Sketches

Georgian Coffee Pot

This lovely Georgian coffee pot was acquired from the Treworgey Family estate in Cornwall and then sold at the 2017 Grandma’s Attic Fair at Bournemouth BEC.

Rosewin Retail Outlets

Added to the above, exciting plans are also afoot for Rosewin Holdings to open our very own gallery and shop(s). These will be an additional platform for offloading Rosewin assets as well as offering members and investors the opportunity to exhibit and sell their own private collections. We will keep you up to speed as these exciting visions become reality.
